Religious Education

Religious Education is the core subject of the curriculum in Catholic schools.

We currently still follow the Diocesan scheme 'The Way, the Truth and the Life', which supports all children on their faith journey, as they progress through school and life. Catholic children also follow the 'I Belong' materials, if they choose to continue their Sacramental journey with the current school based programme.

In 2024-2025, we are beginning to implement the Bishops' Conference's new Religious Education Directory (RED), through the diocesan chosen scheme "The Vine and The Branches". 2024-2025 is a transitional year where we are moving towards the new RED and scheme of work.

The Education Team at the Diocese of Shrewsbury provide us with the knowledge and skills that are required in Religious Education. This document is included here; and provides the criteria for End Point progression in R.E., throughout our school.

We welcome any parents who may wish to find out more about our RE curriculum or have any questions about our curriculum regarding participation/withdrawal. Please do not hesitate to contact us, you are alway swelcome.
