Celebration Assemblies

Every Friday afternoon, we gather together to celebrate our achievements of the week. We give thanks to God for our blessings and share in the joy of each other's different achievements. We always offer our celebrations back to God in recognition of the gifts He has given, for us to nurture and use.

We listen to each teacher sharing 'good news' from their class. Every child is celebrated, at least once, for a different achievement during every year.

We also welcome children bringing in celebrations from outside of school. We praise children for achievements in their differnet activities. Some of the achievements are in sports and the arts, including: netball, swimming, football, dancing, running, hiking, athletics, and climbing. We also enjoy hearing about children achieving badges and awards in different clubs such as: Rainbows, Brownies, Cubs and Scouts, Youth Group and other clubs. Sometimes, children like to share achievements from their own personnal circumstances, and these are always celebrated too.

Our Celebration Assemblies are also opportunities for our Pupil Groups to speak with the whole school community. They might give out notices or updates, as well as share what projects they might be working on.

Whilst we don't publish every Celebration Assembly, once a month, we post our slides for families to enjoy a taster of our Celebration Assemblies at school. We also publish a photograph of our Weekly Headteacher Awards on our website, under our live Twitter feed.
