Safeguarding Policy.

St. Mary of the Angels places the highest priority on the safeguarding of our children and stakeholders. We always ensure rigorous safeguarding checks are carried out on all staff members at the school; as well as other appropriate stakeholders.

Here is what inspectors said about safeguarding at this school.

"The effectiveness of safeguarding procedures is outstanding" - Ofsted 2010.

"The behaviour and safety of pupils are outstanding. Pupils are exceptionally well behaved at all times. They know how to keep themselves safe, for example, when using the internet. Pupils say they feel very safe in school and are confident to share any concerns with staff because they know they will be listened to." Ofsted 2013.

In spring 2015, in a questionnaire of all parents at the school, the following responses were received.

QUESTION; DOES THIS SCHOOL DEAL WITH ANY CASES OF BULLYING QUICKLY & EFFECTIVELY (INCLUDING CYBER, RACIST, HOMOPHOBIC BULLYING & NAME CALLING)?
97% OF PARENTS AGREED/STRONGLY AGREED.

DOES YOUR CHILD FEELS SAFE AT THIS SCHOOL? 100% OF PARENTS AGREED/STRONGLY AGREED.
