Admission to Reception class.

Children who are born between 1/9/2013 and 31/8/2014 will be ready to start school for the first time in September 2018. CLICK HERE TO APPLY.

Our school is able to admit a maximum of 30 pupils to the Reception class in each academic year.

The application process for admissions in September 2018 began on the 1st September 2017. You should have been sent a letter from the local authority in early September, giving details of how to apply.  (If you didn't receive this by mid September, contact the Cheshire West and Chester Admissions Office, whose details are below.)

Information Booklets for starting school in September 2018 will be available from September 2017 on this link; you are advised to read this as it will include important information on the application process and key dates. It also details how applications are considered for oversubscribed schools and how your preferences will be processed. Admissions policies and procedures may change annually; so always read the latest guidance. Our Admissions Policy for 2018-19 is an attachment, at the bottom of this page.

If you live outside Cheshire West and Chester, you should have received details of the admission process from your own local authority; if not, we advise you to contact them immediately, as the admissions deadline has passed .

If you would like to make an appointment for an informal visit to a school prior to completing application forms, please do not hesitate to contact the school - you are most welcome to visit our school by phoning 0151 338 2430 or email For other schools, check their website or find all details in your CWAC admissions booklet, available on the admissions site from 1st September 2017.

Notes for all applicants:

If you state on your application form that your child is a baptised Catholic, we write to you to ask you to provide a copy of your child's Catholic Baptismal Certificate, before the date on which applications are processed each year;  it is your responsibility to return a copy of the baptismal evidence by the date set, as this forms part of the school's published admission criteria.

A full Admission policy is available below or by following this link. Copies are also in the Local Authority information booklet and from the school.

Non-Catholic children are always most welcome to apply. Many of our pupils are not Catholic or of other faiths/no faiths. See our admissions criteria on the policy.

If you live in another local authority area (eg Wirral Borough Council area), you need to contact your own authority for an admission to our school, as each L.A. administers their own admissions. Details will be on each L.A. website.

Transfers between schools are available all year round - click here for more information.
